progress linked server

    hi

    i have a couple of linked sever in my sql express which were working fine before new year and now don't work.

    I'm using MS OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers

    when i test the connection or run an openquery against it it just hangs forever. the funny thing is that when i use crystal it works fine but when i use ms access i get an error too. it makes me think its ms related?

    can anyone shed any light?

    OK

    i have created the linked servers on the server (SQL2005) and the links work fine. I am using Express 2005 where the links did work but no longer work. I've tried dropping and recreating but to no avail. is it worth a re-install??
