Our agency is on the verge of buying a program which uses a Progress Database. I did a small amount of search on google but did not find alot of information. Has anyone used this database or a software program which stores data in a progress database? I would love to hear positives and negatives.

I've been working with the progress database for approx. 12 years. The database has evolved over the years and there are now a number of apps written for it. Depending on how you set up the database it can require little management or a lot. The database is very stable and if reliable. Let me know if you have specific questions that I can answer.

Just wondered what you used it for. Has your personal experience found it to be easy to use? When you said 'depending on how you set up the database it can require little management or a lot' what exactly does that mean? How does it compare to SQL Server? What are it's weaknesses?
