Profiler Server Taxation

  • Using a profile that just captures a created object on sql.

    Bad practice?

High tax on performance of server?

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Catchy phrase here...

  • I would say that using profiler would not be the best idea as you should be able to get this information from the default trace

  • Agree with SteveB. Running a profiler trace is an overhead on the instance, instead you may run server side traces. Since you want to capture object creation details, it is already captured by the Default Trace. This article[/url] explains how to read the default trace.
