Hello everybody.
Got a huge problem with DTS. I'm connecting to a DB2 (AS/400) with IBM Client Access ODBC driver. I'm providing all necessary data (username, password) and my SQL statement is OK.
When I run the DTS by hand (execute package) the DTS will run fine and fill my table, but when I schedule the DTS the package hangs when it should be run.
Can anybody help me out !!!!

Ok first is the machine you manually excuting from the same as the location the DTS package is running as scheduled? If not then try running manually fom the server and see what happens. Then open the DTS package on the server to see if anything changes or barks and error. Also are you getting any kind of error message. And lastly you may want to use a portocol analyzer and profiler from the server to make sure all the calls look right.

Thanks for your quick reply...
I'm running from both, a remote console and from the server console. Both work fine.
In both cases when I schedule the job the keep having the status: Executing job.
I'm not getting any error messages.
Unfortunatly I don't know how the portocol analyzer and profiler work.
Still many thanks for your quick reply, hope this will make my problem a bit clearer (but probably not easier)
