there are 4 instances available in production server, as i checked tcp port numbers in all named instances is different from instances of DR servers...
Please let me know is this correct configuration of they should be same as production server... because after failover on DR, application faces issue of connectivity because of different port...
please share your knowledge
thanks !!!!

Unless you have configured your named instances to use specific ports, the port numbers assigned will (can, may) change each time the named instance is restarted. The SQL Browser service helps applications connect with the proper instance when you attempt to connect with the [Servername/Instance] name of a named instance.

ok thanks for your prompt resonse...That mean in current scenario, i have to assign specific port numbers in all instances of DR server same as assigned in production server right? because they get changed every time so user faces issue in connectivity... or is there any other thing you want to mention??
the procedure for assigning specific port is to go in config manager and open properties of tcp\ip and assign port number then service restart will require right?? any other prerequisite or postrequisite if you want to mention....?
