  hi ,i have two different database sybase 9 and sql server 2005 , and i want to migrate data from sybase to sql server 2005 , so how can i do it .

  i try to create a link from sql server 2005 to migrate these data but doesn't work.

  the mssql give an error :access dined to start and stop data base .

  Please give me solutions how can i link this 2 databases or how can i migrate the data

  in SSIS create a package with a connection for each database then use the data flow task to bring over your data from the sybase db to sql db.
