Can anyone please let me know what all patches needs to be applied on SQL server 2014 RTM? There is no specific requirement. We are patching as part of normal patching to keep the servers up to date. My understanding is
SP2+CU11
Do we need to apply security updates?

SP2+CU11 will include all security updates up to and including the date of release of CU11.

Just so it's clear, CU means Cumulative Update. So it's every single patch up to that moment. You apply the the Service Pack (SP) and then the latest CU, and you're covered.

Thanks Grant. Yes, absolutely. The only reason I specifically mentioned security updates was in response to the second question in the original post.

Thanks you very much Grant and John. So, when there is no CU released like in case of SQL Server 2008r2 RTM, in general scenario, do we need apply SP3+MS15-058(6220)+TLS1.2(6542)+Security update(6560)?

I think even the security update includes the CUs, but I wouldn't swear to that. Might be safer to install the latest CU and then the security update.
