Package Variable(s) from SQL Table

  • Ok, Iv started again.

Now when I hit "Evaluate Expression" i get the correct result (i.e. the SMTP Server address).

I have done your revised steps but I still keep getting the error:

"The connection xxxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxx is not found......"

If you followed my revised steps correctly, it should execute successfully, I tried myself first before posting.

One thing that you need check whether the property "SmptConnection" in Send Mail Expression Editor > Property Expression Editor is available, if it is then remove it.

And also, post back the exact errors that returned by SSIS

  • Woohooo ok I think iv got it working.

Now just to test this, how can I use this Variable I have now created (which stores the SMTP Server details) in another package?

  • Using Package Configurations...(see BOL link: ms-help://MS.SQLCC.v9/MS.SQLSVR.v9.en/extran9/html/9b939edb-4e17-48e5-8428-855beb10049c.htm)

If you've books online installed on your local machine, just copy & paste that link to see the relevant documentation.
