  Hi all,

  We are using some PAAS Geo-replicated Fail Over groups and I have a question about using the Readonly replica connection string <fog>.secondary.database.windows.net. My question is in the event of an issue connecting to the secondary replica does Azure reroute the connections to the primary?

  We would like to implement read intent style connection string but unfortunately we would have a hard dependency on the read results.

  Looking online I can see the AllowReadOnlyFailoverToPrimary which seems to be what I want but only in the event of failover being triggered? I would like to be resilient against network, DNS issues, secondary going offline etc.
