  I am having problems getting SQL to use Outlook Express as an email client. Outlook express is installed and configured to send via our local mail server (sendmail on solaris). Test emails from Outlook work as expected.

  However when I try to configure SQL it does not see Outlook Express as an option.

  Has anyone got Outlook Express to work with SQL server 2000 SP3 ?

  SQL Mail requires a mapi client such as Outlook.
