I am having a problem doing a backup. It is weird because
I had this same problem this morning with transaction log
backups and after running a check db and changing from a
network account as a connection to the SA account the log
backed up fine. I am running
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 - 8.00.665 (Intel X86)
Jul 29 2002 15:02:32
Copyright (c) 1988-2000 Microsoft Corporation
Enterprise Edition on Windows NT 5.0 (Build 2195:
Service Pack 2)
When I try to run a manual backup on two of my databases
I get these two errors:
Internal I/O request 0x13D037F8: Op: Write, pBuffer:
0x160B0000, Size: 983040, Position: 332928512, UMS:
Internal: 0x103, InternalHigh: 0x0, Offset: 0x13D81600,
OffsetHigh: 0x0, m_buf: 0x160B0000, m_len: 983040,
m_actualBytes: 0, m_errcode: 2, BackupFile:
E:\DBbackups\cdpw_live.bak
BackupMedium::ReportIoError: write failure on backup
device 'E:\DBbackups\cdpw_live.bak'. Operating system
error 2(The system cannot find the file specified.).
Has anyone seen this? I am searching for it and have been
unsuccessful in finding anything as of yet.

What privileges the network account have both in SQL Server and in your domain?

SA in sql server and forest administrator in AD. I jsut backed it up to a different server with no problems so it seems to be linked to the E drive on my server. However, my database file is on there and there are no problems with it
