Hi there, can anyone give me some info on OODMS (OBJECT ORIENTED DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS).
I'm currently responsible for a large CRM system and now it seems our development manager is quite keen on changing from a RDBMS to OODMS.
I'm a bit worried about changing the structure of our db so that it will now cater for one Delphi app...
How would a move like this affect websites also using the db and reporting..?

BE CAREFUL!
I worked with one a long time ago it was painful when we needed scaling!!
If you are planing to use a mainly transactional system I would advice you to STICK TO RDBMS!
If it is a very heterogenious system carefuly try to isolate the parts that will use OODMS from the ones that will be better handled on a RDBMS!
