Hello:
We're in the process of upgrading from SSRS 2005 to 2008 R2. We have a legacy system with a UniVerse back end, for which we use a proprietary driver to create an ODBC connection for reports. The problem is that the driver is only available in 32-bit, while the new server and SQL installation are 64-bit.
We figured out how to install the 32-bit driver on the server (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe), so that's working fine. When I run the reports using the ODBC datasource in BIDS, that also works fine, so I know the driver is installed correctly. However, when I try to run the same reports in Report Manager, I receive an error:
An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
Cannot create a connection to data source 'UniVerseDataSource'. (rsErrorOpeningConnection)
ERROR [IM014] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture mismatch between the Driver and Application
Has anyone run into this? Any ideas?
