I have an issue with a ODBC connection running a report.
When I use name pipe the reports works fine; but when I use TCP/IP I got:
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]ConnectionCheckForData(CheckforData())
The client is a Windows 2003 server R2 service pack2 - Citrix Metaframe
Database SQL server 2000 Serv. pack 4
Any help I will appreciate.

I posted this issue yesterday; but I figured it out. Basically this error ocurrs when you install Windows 2003 Server service pack 2; since this enable a feature called " TCP/IP Offloading engine " this one cause some issues when you run heavy queries.
Therefore I disabled that feature and the report is running ok.
I hope this solution will helps to someone else.
Thanks.

Thanks for your email; but at the end of my email I posted the solution; the issue is with the Windows 2003 R2 service pack 2; since the service pack enable a feature called TOE ( TCP/IP offloading engine ) and this cause that error when you run heavy queries at SQL server.
Basically we disabled that feature and everything is working fine.
