I have not seen much discussion on this recently (most of the posts are between 2 and 5 years old).
Maybe it is because this is just taken for granted now, but I wanted to double check: should we be using REFS for all SQL partitions now?
A quick google search shows most of the posts pointing out that commands like DBCC and name streams don't work with REFS; but they are old posts and I do not believe they apply any longer.

Refs is supported but I can't find more information. Have you tried it in a test-environment?
Refs seems to have a memory impact

No. Wow, I thought this would be a simple answer. Seems like anyone that builds a new server would have answered this question, unless they are just using the default (which I think is REFS now(?).

Tells you how out of touch I am with the server side of things, didn't even know what REFS was until now.

Searched the web a little further. Refs not supported on san-storage?
Not yet recommeded for clustered volumes due "redirected mode" ( Redirected mode: can't bypass the filesystem , network config )
