After pulling my finger nails out one at a time just to feel relief from trying to figure out non and clustered indexes; i thought it was time to start asking questions..
Here is what i need to get cleared up..
If an clustered index is located in the leaf node; and the clustered index and the datapages are both in the leaf node stored in the order dictated by the index......How is it that in a non clustered index that they are stored in the leaf node and them point to the datapages..
How can a non clustered index be in the leaf node (with the clustered indexes) and then point to the datapages if they reside in the same as with the clustered indexes (I THOUGHT CLUSTERED INDEXES ARE STORED INDEX AND DATA TOGETHER IN THE DATA PAGE)how can the non clustered indexes be in the node if they are not in the same node as the data pages??
