Newbie: problems installing Samples /Adventureworks

    I went to

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e719ecf7-9f46-4312-af89-6ad8702e4e6e&displaylang=en

    and downloaded the samples/adventureworks databases. I installed them using default paths but don't understand how to use the installed items.

    For example, the AdventureWorksBI.msi install defaults to installing the DW in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\"... What is that path? My OLTP/OLAP installs are all on dirve D! Am I supposed to redirect this path to my OLAP install (D:\mssql2005\MSSQL.2\OLAP\Data)?

    Well the \program files\ path is, as with MS products generally, the default install path. I just installed the AdventureWorks samples myself, but I just went via the start menu and clicked on the MSI in the Samples and Tutorials sub-menu. It installed fine with th defaults, although I am now having issues connecting to the instance to deploy the reports.
