Hi,
I am completely new to all this and would appreciate some help getting my report server set up.
I have a development server running SQL Server 2005 and would like to be able to access reports remotely. I can't do this at present (although I can connect to the database remotely). When I try to connect to http://localhost/reports nothing (good) happens
In the Reporting Service Configuration Manager everything has a tick except for Web Service Identity, which I think is stopping me from doing what I need to do.
I'll provide some details at the bottom of this post in the hope that someone could point me in the right direction!
--------------
Report Server Virtual Directory - Name: ReportServer$SQL2005
Report Manager Virtual Directory - Name: Reports$SQL2005
Windows Service Identity - Name: ReportServer$SQL2005, Account:LocalSystem, Built-in Account: Local System
Web Service Identity - ASP.NET Service Account:Blank and I have no idea what could go in here! Report Server: Blank, Report Manager: Blank
Database Connection - Server Name: MyServer\SQL2005, Database Name: ReportServer$SQL2005, Credentials Type: Service Credentials

I've had a bit (well, a lot) of a play and I've managed to solve the problem.
Just in case anyone see this and is in a similar situation here is what I did:
1. Created a new Report Server Virtual Directory
2. Create a new Report Manager Virtual Directory
3. Bob's your uncle the ASP .NET Service Account field in the Web Service Identity is filled in
4. Choose the correct report server for the Report Server and Report Manager fields in Web Service Identity
