Instead of asking for platform questions, this survey goes into too much business, revenue, and other unrelated issues. I wonder what the value of this survey.

No idea. The team working on this asked, so my guess is they are somehow trying to determine if this will sell licenses.

The iODBC, TDS, and JDBC mailing lists must have plenty of feedback if they are really interested in finding out cross platform issues.

we put up a stand along SQL server just to hold the drivers for other database servers and to pass the data to our MSSQL servers that actually hold the data. didn't want to risk any issues with installing third party drivers. especially on our clusters
