good day to all,
im having problem with the my web application...im using asp.net, web service and sql express 2005. My problem is that when doing a transaction, i always get an error saying that MSDTC is unavailable eventhough the MSDTC is running. but when i refresh all components in the component service, the transaction works fine. can anyone help me with this problem? thanks in advance

in component services > computer > My computer, when i right click it, it say stop msdtc, which means msdtc is up and running. but when i click on the distributed transaction coordinator folder, an log in the application event log is added indication that msdtc is started. does it mean that it is not really running in the first place?

Are you running MSDTC on windows 2003 server. If so few changes has happened in the security side of DTC so check if that's a permission issue.
