Moving databases from one drive to another

    Quick question, is it possible to disable all SQL services, move all the databases from one drive to another, rename that drive to the previous name and have all the databases work without issues? In theory this sounds possible to me but I wanted to check in with you experts.

    yes it is, I have done this more than once.. If these are just user databases, merely offlining the databases would be enough rather than stopping services.

    back them up first of course!
