Moving all DTS packages on a server

    Hi,

    I am creating a test environment for our production server. The server has multiple databases.  I would like to bring all the DTS packages over.  Can I do this by restoring our production MSDB database into the test environment?

    Restoring the MSDB database will restore all the DTS packages, SQL Agent Jobs, Backup history, etc...

    Take a look at DTSBackup2000 over at http://www.sqldts.com

    They also list a couple of other methods for moving packages in the FAQ section.

    Bear in mind that depending on what your packages do and how they are configured, you might need to manually edit each package to change connection details.
