Money amounts and exchange rates

    I have just been told that a new app we are building must support multiple currencies. We are a US company, and have up to now only dealt in US dollars. The new app (and database) must allow customers to specify that they are dealing only in other currencies (Canadian dollars initially). But when it's time for reports and invoices and such, we need to calculate the current value of the CAN$ in US$$ based on the exchange rate. Can anyone give me the benefit of your experience on this? Thanks.

    We have not done this as of yet. We had our data vendor supply the currency conversions on a monthly basis for us as that was the easiest. A quick search revealed a web service that you could make use of:
