Hi,
The subject and the description pretty well sum up my problem. I seem to be missing a required dll for the ASSP sample project. I looked in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\IDE folder and was unable to find msmgdsrv.dll there. How do I remedy this situation?

If the file is missing, you could locate it on the install media and copy it to the hard drive and register it.

Hi,
It looks like all I had to do was install SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition to have the necessary DLLs added. I don't have the foggiest idea as to why SQL Server 2008 Enterprise or Visual Studio 2008 Pro does not take care of this matter. This also solved the problem I was having with the Microsoft.AnalysisServices.Xmla.dll. Funny way to get a couple of DLLs!:-D

Thanks for the feedback and final resolution.
