SQL 2005 Dev (64bit) to SQL 2005 Std (32bit) mirroring?
Hi All,
We have installed BES 5 (Blackberry Server) on a server[BS01] and have the DB on SQL 2005 Dev (64bit) on a separate server[AP01]
There is a standby BES 5 server running in our DR location[DRBS01], and a DR-DB server running SQL 2005 Std (32bit) [DRAP01] also in the DR location.
The problem is... BlackBerry's BES server needs DB mirroring for the standby server to work and fail over automatically.
Can we setup Mirroring is this way, or will we HAVE to reinstall the DR DB server to have mirroring running?
Thx guys for any info you could offer.

yep. You'll have to re-install.
Have a look at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms189852%28v=SQL.90%29.aspx
it states:
... the partners must use the same edition....
Keep in mind to apply the latest service pack !
