How the server knows when the other server down in mirroring .

Hi,
It depends on your setup. If you use mirroring with witness-server, the wittness-server knows the state of the mirror nodes. If you don't use a wittness-server, the primary node stores the logs in the ldf-file. And this would get bigger and bigger, if the secondary node is offline.
But I think, there are a lot of good pages in the internet.

Mirror server pings principap server every 10 seconds. If nothing is retreturnr it knoknows t principap is down
