Migrate SQL 7.0 database to new server

  I have outgrown the disk capacity of my server. I have a new server that I would like to migrate my databases to. What is the most efficient method to perform the migration? The old server is NT 4.0 sp6, SQL server 7.0 , the new server will be Win 2K , sql server 7.0.

  Install everything on new server, putting the master.mdf in the exact same place, then stop service on both machines. Copy the mdf/ldfs to the same location on new machine that they were on old machine, restart service. Change the computer name in SQL with sp_dropserver, sp_addserver, stop and start service.
