HI. I just installed this hot fix and all appears well. I did a 'select @@version' after and was wondering if i should see a new version level.. i'm at 8.00.608. At the top of the README for this hot fix it shows 8.00.0636.. am i supposed to see that once this fix has been applied. i only restarted sql and it's services. i didn't reboot.

Shouldnt need to reboot. I'll try to check tomorrow to see what mine says at work.

Actually since then, i applied the MS02-38 and when i did the SELECT @@VERSION, i see the new version that goes with this fix. so i know i'm on target but still curious about the previous posting. Thank you so much for looking into it!
