Hi Guys,
Having a bit of trouble with some Merge Replication.
I recently reapplied the merge replication to two databases that were synch so I didn't have to push out a new subscription.
This morning, the Merge agent went suspect and i changed the Timeout to a higher value. I've restarted the agent and now it hangs on Connecting to subscriber....... ![]()
I'm logging what is happening and I'm getting the following for each article.
Processing article 'tblAnnouncement'
Repl Agent Status: 3
[8/8/2005 3:36:08 PM]PubServer.Database: {call sp_MSenumcolumns (?,?)}
[8/8/2005 3:36:09 PM]SubServer.Database: {call sp_MSenumcolumns (?,?)}
[8/8/2005 3:36:09 PM]SubServer.Database: {call sp_MSenumchanges(?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?)}
[8/8/2005 3:36:09 PM]SubServer.Database: {call sp_MSenumchanges(?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?)}
[8/8/2005 3:36:09 PM]SubServer.Database: {call sp_MSenumchanges(?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?)}
[8/8/2005 3:36:10 PM]PubServer.Database: {call sp_MSgetmetadatabatch(?,?,?)}
Percent Complete: 5
Is this bad news?
Any thoughts on a resolution ?
A rapid response would do me a real favour.
Many Thanks Guys
Graeme

Hi,
No need to respond to this...it was just a connection problem coupled with a lot of backed up transactions..
Thanks...Graeme
