  Simply, i am trying to attach mdf file using SSMS. Why I am getting this error:

  Maybe it's because you are trying to attach a file from your folder for corrupt files: E:\SQL Corrupt Files

  It's your first post so maybe there will be some recovery link or other advertising link as a follow up.

  Probably a damaged database file. It's one of the things that can go wrong when you detach a corrupt database.

  I agree with Sue,

  You are selecting the file from SQL Corrupt File folder. what does it mean?
