Hi all,
I am still having problems with MDAC versions and DTS Packages. I think I have asked you all this before but I will try again!. We have MDAC 2.7 on our desktops and 2.1 sp2 on our Server. When we create or update DTS Packages from our desktops and try to run them from a scheduled task, the following error appears in the log file.
-----------------------------------------
DTSRun: Loading...
DTSRun: Executing...
DTSRun OnStart: DTSStep_DTSDataPumpTask_1
DTSRun OnError: DTSStep_DTSDataPumpTask_1, Error = -2147217887 (80040E21)
Error string: The property 'Use Encryption for Data' is not supported.
Error source: Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS) Package
Help file: sqldts.hlp
Help context: 1100
Error Detail Records:

Anyone got any ideas how to get around this error. We cannot upgrade the server to MDAC 2.7 because of problems we had when we tried it (desktops Windows 2k and server NT 4 sql server 7.0).
Any help would be grrrreat!
Thanks
Meg

Have you tried searching for 'Use Encryption for Data' and removing it? How about just upgrading to 2.5 or 2.6 (not sure if it would solve the problem)?
