Hi
I would like to know what's the maximum number of groups a cluster can have.
Currently we are setup active / active but having an issue with more than 5 groups. (1 for quorum, 1 for dtc, and 3 for SQL instances)
If we are having more groups, the SQL instance on those "extra" group cease to run, in other terms they are shutdown automatically hence my question "how many group are supported in a cluster".
The machine is Win 2k3 R2 SP2 Enterprise

Still unable to find out what's the cause of the issue.
Am I alone with that strange behaviour?
Could this be a CAL limitation for Win 2k3 R2 ?

For those interested, I did understand that it was a registry issue. Microsoft recommended to change a value in the registry. However, I wasn't part of the conversation and the person how I talked to didn't remember anything else beyond that 🙁
Still wishing to know exactly the answer if someone's can provide it.
