I have a master server monitering many target servers. I have two problems.
1) I cannot seem to defect the target server (error 207 invalid column name netsend_address) When I click on the alerts or the operators within the agent, I get the following:
error 207 invalid column names
job_ic, categroy_id,
event_category_id,
event_category_id,
delay_between_response,
etc
2) I defected a server successfully yet the maintenance jobs did not remove from the target server nor can I delete them manually.

Are the master and targets at the same SP/patch level? Check @@Version.
If you can't delte them from EM, use QA and whack them from msdb..sysjobs and msdb..sysjobsteps.

Steve, Thanks very much.....
Before I wacked the jobs from MSDB using QA, I really wanted to find out why. When I looked at the jobs, the originating server with sysjobs was not on our network thereby SQL server was confused and did not know what to do.
as for the other, both servers are same version.

maybe a rename? That REALLY screws up master servers and one reason why I don't use them.
