Master server as Target server?

  Hi there,

  I'm using a master server to manage similar jobs on several SQL Servers, and this works fine. There is a nagging peculiarity which I find strange: these jobs for the targetserver should run on the masterserver as well. It seems I cannot designate the master as a target.

  Is this correct, or do I miss something here? The jobs under MultiServerJobs do not run on the Masterserver itself, I can see that.

  If the master server can't be targetserver in SQL2K, does anybody know how this is in Yukon?

  Multi Server Jobs, won't run in the master server. It is only for target servers.

  To un a job in the master server, you must create it in local jobs.
