When creating a Maintenance plan I checked an option "Send report to an e-mail recipient". It sent me a report but had very little info and no attachment or details like SQl 2K.
Microsoft(R) Server Maintenance Utility (Unicode) Version 9.0.2153 Report was generated on "MyServer".
Maintenance Plan: Backup System Databases
Duration: 00:00:00
Status: Succeeded.
Details:
Am I missing something here, can I get the report file attached?

You're not alone. We're on sql 2005 service pack I and it's still difficult to get reasonable results of jobs. The maintenance plan view history seems to have more information than viewing the history of an individual job. Sending the job results to a text file didn't help much either.
When viewing the maintenance plan history I noticed that at the top it has very little detail. Down below you can expand some entries that do show the individual job steps and decent detail. But these aren't date sorted so you have to open several before you find today's results. I think I heard a 2nd service pack is in beta testing -- hopefully this will get better.

I hear a lot is going to change in SP2. I hope it's easier to install than SP1. I installed three of them. Two installed fine but the last one was rough.
