Maintenance Plan Failing in Index/Optimisation bit

  • Hi,

I have a maintenance plan which fails in the indexing area with the following error:

[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]DBCC failed because the

following SET options have incorrect settings: 'QUOTED_IDENTIFIER,

    ARITHABORT'.

The activity listed is "Check Data and Index Linkage" and the error number given is 1934. This error is occuring on a server with SQL Server 2000 SP2.

I have tried changing the settings as implied in the error message but I still keep on getting the same error. It was all working fine and suddenly two days ago it decided to stop working. Has anyone seen this before or know the solution for it? If yes then reply back to this posting or send me an email. Thanks.

  • We had another post about this recently, dont know that we had an answer. Have you recently added an indexed view?

  • Hi Andy,

No, nothing (i.e. indexed views) was added recently to the database. We have this same problem with another database on a different server as well. If Indexed views are added then what effect does this have on the maintenance plan?

    Regards,

    Parimal.
