Maintaining log information about table?

  Hello every body and i must say this is my first post in this forum.

  I have a table by name of Book in my db.

  I want to maintain log information such as entry or deletion and datatime.

  i have an article on this site.

  But that thing is out of my control i can't eat that much.

  Can any body give me a step wise tutorial for this problem??
