  Hi,

  I have half-hourly transaction log backups happening on a server. Can I leave the truncate log on checkpoint option on or will I lose data because of this option being on.

  Trun. log on checkpoint will change your recovery mode to simple and you will not be able to take transaction log backups any more.

  No you won't lose data b/c only active portion of the transaction log is

  backed up by SQL Server
