Lock Memory (KB) Counter shows 4 GB Usage, with 1800 transaction locks, how to reduce lock memory?

  Hi as title states, in my SQL Server 2008 EE SP3 box with 64 GB memory and 59000 max server memory setting, I have page life expectancy ~100 seconds and suspect memory pressure. Lock Memory is the second biggest memory area other than buffer pool ~4 GB.

  The result of sys.dm_tran_locks is usually 1800 rows but once I saw 20,000 rows. I want to find the reason behind this high lock memory and try to reduce it afterwards. How can I do this? Any help is appreciated.
