When I try to backup my database to a file only the C drive is available in the "locate folders" window. The server has two other locally attached drives. How do I get D: and E: to be available?

Is your server a cluster?
Are your other drives shared?

make sure your sqlagent / sqlserver service account is able (authorized) to access/write to those volumes.
If these drives are mapped drives, use UNC in stead !

Thanks! I'm all set now. It was a permissions problem.
