I received the following error.
Logon Error: 18456, Severity: 14, State: 27
Logon Login failed for user
can anyone suggest where can i get the list of error states and their descriptions.
What does state 27 means?

The "State:" values in the error codes are usually only meaningful to the developers of the code that is issuing the error message. They may be usable for bug tracking also, but I am not sure if MS uses that way.
