  I have a standard edition CPU licensed 2005 Box that we use for OLTP It has about 200+ users. There are views on a database on this server which touch another 2005 Active/Active cluster which uses user CALS (it has about 50 CALS licensed for it). The question is with the application which utilizes the database on the OLTP CPU licensed box, do we need more user cals for the views on this server which hit the other server?

  Technically, I'd say yes. You may want to consider licensing the other server on a per CPU license as well.
