Recently i observed a weired thing on my activity monitor. there was a spid running under my login but when i cheked on the host server there was nothing running but still i see that in the activity monitor and when tried killing i cudnt do for my own spid then i had to disconnect all conenctions for that database. But after an hour again the same repeated with the same database.
How can i troubleshoot this.

It would be better if you run profiler against your login and see from where that spid is gettng called up and which process is invoking such request.

How are you checking the host server? Activity Monitor just queries the servers for activity. note that this query is "activity" and will show up.
