Keep both version of BIDs and client tools

    We have some servers are SQL server 2008, some are SQL server 2008 R2.

    I have my work station installed SQL 2008 dev edition, but now since I need to do some ssis package and ssrs I need to install SQL 2008R2 client tools BIDs.

    If I install 2008 R2 client and bids, will that overwrite my 2008 installation of clients and bids?

    I would actaully want to keep the different version of bids on my workstation , because I need to develop SSIS for both 2008 R2 and 2008.

    Is that possible?

    Except for some very very minor additions for ADO.NET, SSIS 2008 and SSIS 2008R2 are exactly the same. Packages developed for 2008R2 will work on 2008.
