Hi, (sry if this has been covered)
I have setup a local SQL 2000 database on a server using the local admin account. While logged in locally as the admin (or even over terminal services as admin) the server shows up fine in Enterprise Manager.
However, after joining the server to a domain, logging in as domain users (or even domain users that have been added as local admins) does not allow me to see the SQL server in the Enterprise Manager at all.
When I log out of the server as my domain account, and log in as the local admin, everything shows up as expected.
I am sure this is a simple fix, but clearly my lack of how SQL server and AD work together has left me stumped..
Thanks,
Chris
p.s. none of the devs have expressed a problem with using SQL accounts to remotely connect to the database... it seems to just be an issue while trying to log in locally as a domain user on the server.

Have you tried to register the local SQL Server in EM? If your Domain User account has been added as a local admin, I doubt it is a permissions issue unless you've removed the local admin group from the SysAdmin server role. Right-click on the SQL Server group and attempt to register the SQL Server.
