Is there a SharePoint GOD around here today:

  • Is there a way to copy / import files to SharePoint 2007 without loosing the original file dates (creation/modified) and without writing a code in VB or C#. In another word, if we can do this in SQL that would be great.

Oops, this is the area for non-sql....ok, how about this... Is there a property in SharePoint that I might have overlooked and that function actually would do what I am looking for?

    thx

  • Sorry to say, but...

In general, you may NOT modify the Sharepoint database with your own SQL because that will void the warranty.

It would be great if we could because that would give me a whole new line of business, ... oh well.
