Invalid Authorization Specification during connection to SQLServer 2000

  I am getting an error "Invalid Authorization Specification" when i tried to connect using an ADO connection wizard. This is occuring after the server name has entered and tried to select the database. The next to the above message i am getting "Login failed. Catalog information cannot be retrieved".

  some times i am getting the following error

  "[DBNETLIB][Connection Open (Connect())] SQL Server Does not exist or access denied".

  Any help please....

  Hi Friends,

  I found the solution for the problem i specified above.

  Install the hotfix of SQLServer

  SQLCritUpdPkg_ENU.exe file.

  It resolved for me.

  If some one got the same problem it may help you, so that i am posting the solution i have found.
