I get the following error when trying to open up a database or displaying it's properties in SQL Enterprise Manager:
Internet Explorer Script Error
An error has occurred in the script on this page (references the line and error code, which is unspecified). It then lists a url to the sqlmmc.rll file located in SQL Server's Tools\Bin\Resources\1033 folder.
I can still view the properties by right-clicking on the database and selecting properties so this is just a nuisance (at least right now). I'm running SQL 2000 w/SP2 and the latest cumulative security patch (SQL version is 8.00.679) on a SQL 2000 box w/IE version 5.00.3502.1000. Is it just a matter of upgrading to a newer version of IE? TIA for your help.

Installing a newer version of IE solved the problem - I installed IE 6, but checked one of our other SLQ 2K servers that didn't have the problem and it has IE 5.5 installed on it. So it must be a SQL 2K/IE 5.0 problem. Also, the problem occurred only in the Taskpad view.

The prerquiste to installing SQL should match the minimum version of IE needed. Taskpad uses dynamic hmtl and scripting so if the version doesn't match you get the error. You can also get the error when the server is too busy and the scrpt is not able to get the data it uses right away.
