We have a server machine running on WinNT operating system.Currently we are using ORACLE 8i, which is successfully installed. All our company appl. are based on it. Now I want to Install SQL Server7 (but I don't want to make any problem for our ORACLE db) which is a trial version just for 120 days. By installing SQL Server7 trial version in our server, will it create any problem with existing ORACLE 8i.What precautions should I take while installing SQL Server.
Pls help
Cheer up

I doubt it would cause a problem but have never tried. I'd recommend testing on a separate machine first.

I had Oracle and SQL Server 7.0 running on the same machine before and I did not encounter any problems, it was coupl eof years ago and I don't remember which version of Oracle I had.
Good Luck

No known issues except resource needs may make for one or the other slower in response.
