I need to install SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Ed. on a stand alone W2K pro box. I need to create a new database and don't need it to connect to other clients on the network. When I try to install SQL I get an error message telling me that I can only install the client components on WK2 pro. Is there anyway to install on W2K pro or do I have to install W2K Server?

Workstation will only support Personal or Developer Editions for the server pieces. These links may help:

Thanks for the info. I was hopeing there was another way but it looks like I'll have to stay late and reload the OS...
